The Takasago Kokeshi is a type of Japanese artistic kokeshi doll originating from the Takasago region. This figurine represents an elderly called “Jō”  in the Japanese mythology. These dolls are known for their cylindrical shape and hand-painted designs, often featuring floral or geometric patterns. They have been crafted since the Edo period and continue to be popular as decorative items and souvenirs, representing Japan's rich cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship.
